People in the rural south are just as friendly. We aren't all Londoners.

Northerners are more open and welcoming than Londoners are, and will look at you eye to eye with a smile.

Can we get a petition to give Kristin the Freedom of Manchester, she's done a better job than the UK tourism board

The north of england is FAR better than the south. The people are lovely. Visit York and Yorkshire the people there are so friendly and its a beautiful part of the UK. Very green!!

The Brits are very friendly and entertaining. They also have thousands of variations of the classic southern USA jab, "bless your heart". You may realize a minute or two latter that you've been called a dickhead. :o)

I’m used to people always turning their heads or on their phone. I will adjust lol

Northern England is known for being very friendly unlike the south, we’re more likely to be more preserved and less likely to strike up a conversation or say hello.

I mean it happens but much less.

The U.K. is a big garden. It really is a green and pleasant land. 92% of the U.K. is countryside and a large part of that countryside is idyllic made more so by just how accessible it is. And I’ve travelled and lived in many many countries. U.K. also has some great cities like Bath, York, Cambridge etc. but unfortunately also has a lot of pretty depressing towns and cities. Best to avoid these where possible. Best bet is to stick to the countryside outside London.

I’m that person… in the USA. I’m trying to find a way to have a more digital job so I can live a nomadic life. I want to find my tribe of fellow happy people. I believe that exists- just probably not here.
