🥧 What else should I grab and try before we leave?!

You should try going to a big tesco. I think it's a better shop with more brands, and it's a more normal shop that more people shop in. M&S is a pretty fancy shop (I don't know much about it tho tbh, I've only ever been to one like once before).

The reason you didn't find any brands is because you went to M&S, they only sell their own brand really so if you try other shops like Tesco, they are guaranteed to have some of the brands that you're looking for.

Go to a different store. M&S is a super affluent brand that only really stock their own stuff. They are more expensive and sometimes better, but in my opinion, it's not worth it. Tesco, sainsburys or morisons will have more brands and will be a bit more affordable. Aldi and Lidl are very affordable but won't really stock many brands. Hope that helps!

Hearing someone prounounce all the parts of “M and S” separately instead of saying “M’n’S” really fast like everyone does is so strange

you should try Greggs, its a place where you can get warm pastries (savoury and sweet), coffee, lunch foods and confectionaries p.s the sausage rolls are the most iconic thing there, but i would recommend trying the vegetarian one too as it is remarkably similar to the meat type, also around this time of year they have released a "festive bake" its got different components from a Christmas dinner in it and it tastes amazing :)

I’d recommend heading back to Marksies (M&S) and getting a colin the caterpillar cake + some percy pigs. They are beloved by every Brit.
But you have to get yourself a good chippy (fish and chips) while you’re here!
I’m not sure how England does it, but it’s a must do for my auntie anytime she visits us in the Uk cos she can’t get them in her home country. I can’t recommend it enough!

M&S and Waitrose are more ethical than some other shops in the UK, they don't always have as much variety though and can be harder to find. Their food is generally slightly better quality too.

Lol first thought I had when I saw the labels was "oooh M&S you bougie!" I only lived in the UK for a year but we rarely went to M&S because it's more expensive, generally we went to Tesco or Sainsbury's. M&S was for a "treat yourself" day for us.

While you are in Bath you should try Sally Lunn Buns and afternoon tea at the Royal Crescent. There is a nice seafood place called: the Scallop Shell. Fancy evening dining at Sotto Sotto/ Opa being underground.

M&S is where all of the rich people go for their weekly/monthly food shop 😂 I’ve only ever been in like once or twice.

M&S is a great place go get really nice quality meat, fish, vegetables etc, cool flavours of things, fancy ready meals etc, but it's also expensive. Shops like Tesco Sainsburys Asda and Morrisons are more typical and have more brands, although those will still be very different.

We don't refrigerate eggs because we don't pressure wash them like they do in America- we keep their outer shell (which naturally helps keep them fresh), and we've virtually eliminated salmonella anyway, so there's extremely low risks associated with not refrigerating them, whereas if we did refrigerate them thered be a higher risk of bacterial growth by moving between cold and less cold areas.

Make sure you check out a couple restaurants in Bath! And take a trip down to Bristol if you have time. Amazing food there

Percy pigs, mens boxers and sausage rolls are staples of M&S. Many marks and Spencer’s around the uk also have clothing stores like George at Walmart.

Marks and spencers sandwiches are sooo goood. Expensive yes, healthy tho. I get one for lunch almost everyday at work, the chicken sweetcorn is great

Eggs don't have to be refridgerated in europe because we have more strict rules for keeping chickens so they are less likely to have diseases.

Love Marks and Spencer! Cool thing, the take away meals to heat and eat are pretty fresh, and they are strict about chemicals and preservatives in their foods.

Best sweet snack from M and S is the redcurrant puffs. Sweet puff pastry with a blob of redcurrant jam in the centre. So moreish!
