As a Chinese journalist, you shouldn't ask another Chinese expert if the project is economical or worth it!
Let the west especially CNN, Fox news, Sky News, WSJ, New York Times, Bloomberg, Financial Times, etc etc to ask China.
If the Chinese can plan something for decades before they embark on a long and arduous journey, I can safely say that I trust the Chinese more than I trust my family. Please have faith in them. 🙏🇨🇳♥️👏👍💪

Also a great way to reduce flooding downstream as water can be diverted with the canal.

The Oldest Grand Canal lies in China and Hence it appropriate that for trading, not just Seas, Air or Land but also Inland Riverine Systems are to be explored and developed to Chinese Standards and make it a Viable Transportation Route for Trading.

In the meantime, we'll likely hear ever expanding US military spending and more derailment incidents like the recent one in Ohio.

Just amazing to see the research, implementation and completion of these mega projects in China. In the meantime North America's infrastructure is crumbling.
What I saw when I was living in China was mindblowing. North Americans have no idea of the magnitude of Chinas' development and progress.

Very economically compelling project. Cost is relatively low, maintenance is cheap, use could be enormous

I would like to ask a question. Would climate change especially reduction in water flow or drying rivers affect this Pinglu Canal's effectiveness?
