Truth is, Macs are not for gamers ... they really aren't. You can get a gaming laptop that will satisfy most needs way cheaper than for instant a M1 Max powered macbook. If one spends 1400 EUR, i can bet that windows laptop will run anything. I ran Apex legends on my 4GB dedicated video chip on a gaming laptop, just fine. Mac and Windows is a very different target market, which is why most have 2 devices, if they do want to game. Mac for gaming, isn't worth the hassle, the pain and the money frankly, i say that fully knowing that Apple ecosystem is very far up my .... 😂😂😂😂

I have the same specced M1 Max but I got it just for editing and then it turned into my full time computer. I have a gaming desktop that is now a little outdated but it uses over 200 watts at idle while the M1 max uses like 20. I was considering watching for great black Friday deals for a Vr ready laptop. I rarely game anymore but I do use my Oculus at times. I would like to see more support especially as I decided to leave windows behind and fully embrace the apple ecosystem this year.

It runs so great on my MacBook Air M2 and Mac Studio. Incredible, on Mac Studio I can play with everything maxed and in 4K and get 60-80fps stable

Such a bad result. M1 Max suppose to compete with 12900HK + mobile RTX 3080 and yet mobile RTX 3070TI still twice faster than M1 Max! Even Apple advertised and compared with mobile RTX 3080. I'm very disappointed even with a native game.

I'm running a Macstudio 32 core with 64GB of ram 2TB SSD and games would be incredible with the studio display and Apple might have to look in at designing a 144hz 5K studio and gaming display if the games take off for the Mac's

you should enable metalfx upscaling on MBA as it increases 10-12 fps

I’m playing on my m1 MacBook Air and I average 50-60 fps at 1920x1080. Gotta play on external monitor.
