"Not being very bright was one of them". Oof.

19 year olds sitting in those classes being told you’re brilliant for agreeing.

"Not to bright" seems to explain a LOT of the nonsense in the world right now

Not too bright, easily manipulated. Easy to influence.

Turning point was 1992 Alberta U of C business degree 1st year required to take Herstory woman's studies and dissect:
If Men Could Menstruate.

Prof demanded we pit men against women as this is how she interpreted Gloria's words when in fact, If Men Could Menstruate is about government dependency - The ideology was bad then, I left - brain drain! 🎉

The support for Hamas at my local state funded colleges was a turning point for me. I will never support them again including sports and referendum voting for funding.

I mean the sole fact we call it "politically correct" says a lot about it.

I just want to remind everybody that:
21% of our nation is completely illiterate.
79% of our nation is literate.
But, 54% of our nation reads below a 6th grade reading level (That is the grade before junior high school).

54% of our nation is literate and reads at or below a junior high school level down to not at all.

I am suddenly reminded of George Carlin's old joke: “Think about how stupid the average person is, then realize that half of em’ are stupider than that”.

I had an English teacher in college tell us to read these poems then write what WE THOUGHT the poem was about - I got in an argument with the teacher because I did not write what the teachers opinion on what the poem meant to him! That is when I knew college was a huge scam!

Pretty sure “not being very bright” is the primary predictor.

You don't have to be very bright to be in college. You just have to memorize enough test to test to get through it. In Army Basic Training we had a trainee who had a degree in psychology. We couldn't figure out How. He needed extensive hands on tutoring by us to learn the most basic soldier's tasks. Finally someone asked him how he got his degree. That's exactly what he said. I studied for each test. Then forgot about it and studied for the next.

Someone did that study? Wow. I know this, I was hustling my but in college and then graduate school. I would have had no time to take off to do much more that sit in on one event to gain their view of the event. And then I go off and analyze the event over the years using my resources. I am someone that will tackle volumes of books like the Pentagon Papers and John Milton from the English Revolution. When do they have time to camp out? Why did they camp out automatically? It is just strange.

There is such a psychological side to this. It is so bloody sad. We were an academic titan and we're in a state where they've lost their inner compass.

The new terminologies from new professors had teased out ideologies to create their own academic language around 2012-2016.

Yup, I unfortunately married one like this. Thank God im divorced. Took Arabi classes, being darker skin made her prone to sympathy toward muslims over jews. She was like my stepfather, a racist with darker skin.

Its almost as if people too stupid to form their own beliefs can be easily manipulated into following some1 elses. This is why educators should never only present just 1 perspective on any issue
