After seeing Penelope with Lord Debling, i think Colin was probably tormented to see her with another man. So at night he had a dream that he was meeting her in the garden ( where we see the fog). He woke up suddenly after that. He's starting to see that she is more than a friend to him.🎉

Here's my theory: So, Colin comes back home nad Pen gives him cold vibes. Then Pen seeks makeover with Lady with the boutique, I don't remember her name. So, she gets a makeover and tries herself ignoring Colin of course. Then, she fails and Colin being desperate for her attention says he will help but starts feeling something from the moment he shakes hands with her in the garden. (Shown in trailer).
He helps her but seems it's not fully working and probably Colin isn't fully helping and is spending time with her. She is also falling more.
Finally, she is fed up and goes to the ball in emerald dress a bold move, I believe from reactions but but but nothing notable happens but again Colin does feel something stir. So, the promo scene happens where he compliments her and asks whats wrong. She tells him what he said and she heard it.
He feels sad. They do not talk again.
She meets Lord Deblin, and things progress. Colin is fuming and jealous and having wet dreams and asking Violet about love.
Finally, I believe Pen also starts having second thoughts at some point. She goes to print her paper, gets caught. Colin and Oen carriage happens. After they again seperate feeling awkward maybe. Then, the last scene of the garden, maybe they realise they cannot ignore this, so Colin tells her that he feels something and he wants to be with her. They ultimately do. I hope and then the drama with Lady whistledown and cressida begins. In which Colin supports her and doesn't get jealous of her achievements.

I love the trailer. But I'm also very angry againt Eloise. I admit in season 1 I find her funny, in season 2 a little exasperating, here I really find her iritationg. Being like this with Cressida just because she 's angry against Pen! I just want to scream at her. She is so against lady whistledown for the marina story but really? She really think it would be better for Colin to marry someone who lied to him about something like that. If he knew and accept it it was one think but here she chooe to hide it.
