Spring Follow Up After Summer Pruning Young Plum Trees

Last Summer I did a trial video since there isn't much information about pruning back living trees in the summer. I pruned off a lot of the Vigorour growth that had been infected by aphids and the trees did very well. They actually are looking more healthy and blossoming more than they ever have before. It seems my summer pruning was a great success. I will likely continue to prune like this to manage the trees growth every summer now to form a stronger main tree rather than have all these lanky non fruiting branches growing all over the place.
