I feel like I’m always surprised about how much I like friends to lovers when I read it. I always say enemies to lovers is my thing but I definitely have a soft spot for two friends falling in love

I absolutely agree with what you said in the beginning and throughout the video. F to L can be a tricky trope for me as well because sometimes authors rush the love piece and I would prefer it to happen more naturally. And sometimes I don’t buy into their great friendship before it turns to love. Like you said radiance was such a wonderful friends to lovers book. Their friendship was so beautiful and I feel I want more books like that. I enjoyed hands down as well but I always want to get into the hero’s head a bit more. It still worked though cause it’s MZ.

I think Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating is my favourite friends to lovers book. It was so heartwarming.

My favourite thing about this trope is how much they know each other. There’s that level of comfort there between them.

Also Wanna Bet by Talia Hibbert is another one. The two main characters always had a thing for each other though but they build a solid friendship too.

Crazy Stupid Bromance did solidify this trope for me. ☺️

I read Blurred Lines earlier this year, and was totally surprised by how good it was! Lauren Layne's other really good friends to lovers is An Ex for Christmas, which childhood friends to lovers

I love friends to lovers! I think I like it because there’s already a relationship between them and it’s exciting when they start having feeling for each other. Two favorites are The Heir by Sophie Lark and Manhattan by Kandi Steiner. I added some of your recommendations. Thank you!

Rilzy Adams-Go Deep was a really good friends to lovers book. It was my first book by the author as well.

Friends to lovers is also not my favorite trope but if anyone can get me to read this trope and like it, it's probably you because your book recs have gotten me to like some books & tropes I didn't think were for me (for instance, your weird romances rec video. i tried out and liked the majority of the books you recommend.) My favorite best friends to lovers is The fourth time charm by Maya Hughes. I just love Maya Hughe's writing style, she is so funny and she makes me cry from laughing so hard!
I used to love enemies to lovers trope but for some reason I just got bored with it. And I used to not like the friends to lovers trope but now is one of my favorite tropes.
