My narcissistic mother created that dynamic. Everything you said I've lived. My brother and sister were the golden children. I was the scapegoat. My sister, being narcissistic as well, would get support from my mom when attacking me. My mother couldn't stand me having feelings.
When I got cancer and started chemo 8 years ago my mother criticized me for being sick (chemo does that) and for having so many doctor appointments. She'd get upset with me for not having an appetite (chemo does that, too) because I'm not eating the food she cooked.
Well, me!!😄 Gee wiz. I couldn't do anything right.

One of the first lightbulb moments of #1 was when I had best childhood best friend over my house and his mom came over to pick him and my mom and his mom were chatting and everyone was having a great time, and then the second she shut the door and they left.. It was like a switch and she starts berating me about something and saying I did something wrong, or said something wrong, embarrassed her, etc, etc, etc. I realized that around others she is different then when we are alone as a family.

All my life I’ve been alone, with no one to help me or give a kind word once in a while. My entire narcissistic family abused me and used me to give them my hard earned money. Now, I’m retired and alone, with no friends or husband or children to be with with in love and friendship- and now I’ve the time to reflect on why I never got married and why I could never keep a job and why people shunned me… It was because I was unlucky to have eight family members gossiping and making false accusations about me to EVERYONE …. That is so true danish when something bad happened to me almost dying a heart attack and I had you know hip replacement surgery none of my family didn't check up on me I mean none only the ones that are close to me is like 102 and at the thing is you know what that's what I cut everybody off my life permanent because I don't want to be bothered with them again and I rather do well by myself or bad by myself but I'm happy thank you Danish❤❤❤❤
