I grew up going to church and joining choirs because of my grandmother who also from a church choir, every Sunday is an experience, church choirs is really part of most Filipinos.

Actually in the Philippines in every village we have 2 or more chapels and sometimes or most of the time those chapels had their own choir... Specially in provinces

aww this brings back memories of high school for me 😅. our hs choir repertoire always had opm/secular mixed in with the regular church pieces. how i miss our Christmas concerts and we would schedule caroling with prominent school patrons 😊. I also used to accompany on the piano. awww those were the days. and then became an engineer and now just a spectator 😅

Recently I went home to my hometown in Philippines from Dubai. I attended a church mass, there was 3 people in choir and literally it was sounded like a large crowd of choir when they start singing. ❤
