I think a lot of the criticism comes from Brady unseating Olsen on the A-team when Greg was killing it. They should have let Tom "bake" and learn his craft with B and C crews before sloting him in the A.

None of those analysts signed a $375 million contract before they ever called a game, nor did they unseat the current best analyst (Greg Olson) who’d just won the Emmy.

It's your channel's fault for making the #1 color guy when he hasn't had any chance to get better. He should be doing 1:00 pm Panther/Giants games to prepare before getting the prime time spots. He 100% should not be judged yet...but when you put in the best spot, people want the best. You said yourself, Collinsworth started in B and C level games forever. Fox skipped that. The fans didn't.

I agree people just can’t get over the fact that he beat their teams for 23 years. He looks the way he does, makes the money he makes. If we’re being honest, Greg Olson was nothing special, he was not madden. All he had was time. I want to repeat Greg Olsen was nothing special, he was literally keeping the seat warm for the job that was already Tom’s. It was never Greg’s to begin with. Greg Olsen did nothing to be in that position. I am honestly more entertained listening to Brady‘s perspective than anyone else commentating right now. And I was never even a New England fan. He’s getting better week by week; in fact I never thought he was bad. The amount of Emmys that he will inevitably win will be absurd. 💯🤫

He should’ve started at the bottom and worked on the craft before being given the top spot and making an EMMY AWARD WINNING announcer take a back seat. That isn’t a knock on Brady, that’s a knock on the network for not knowing better.

I remember when Kendrick Perkins first started. It was rough. Now he’s a natural.

Word. People criticize broadcasters more than anything. UFC, NFL, etc etc….love to hear these mouth breathers behind a mic.

If its going to take 9 years then he should get a gazillion dollars and get the top game every week.

Tony Romo was pretty good his first year, he fell off a bit as the game changed and he couldn't do his signature play predictions as much but Brady should be able to be as good as that first year, but isn't

I guess but you know they set him up to fail. Brady put himself in a position to fail after how great he was. He didn't use 9 weeks last year to hone his new craft. Oh at he's 37.5 million bucks a year.
Colin if they put you on radio/tv for 5 million bucks a year and you were bad because you never did it… they wouldn't say give him time, he'll figure it out. We have no proof he’ll figure this out.
