Straight Pipe VS Double X Pipe E60 M5 Sound Comparison - V10 Symphony!

I have been going through numerous iterations on my exhaust and I think the Double X Pipe is the answer (on a budget). This is a $7500 so I wasn't going to drop $2k in exhaust on it. The Double X reduced the drone significantly and cut inside cabin noise in half! The best part is, it increased the frequencies we love from the V10 and lost no amount of sound out of the back!

Thank you for this sound comparison! That V10 is an absolute symphony! I am trying to understand exactly how a double or triple x-pipe sonically changes the exhaust note. It seems like chops the standing waves more? Also a higher pitch? I am custom fabricating a stainless exhaust for my e53 X5. It will incorporate a borla switchfire x-pipe, a world's first, as well an experimental triple helix x-pipe section. It's an M54 powered manual 6 speed with schmiedmann headers and will terminate with dual valvetronic mufflers. Anyways, trying to wrap my head around what an I6 will sound like.... perhaps awful😂.

This is a great idea. Got mine recently, it has a single x pipe with cutouts before the mufflers. V10 sounds cool but my exhaust is letting it down, sounds obnoxious and leaks through the cutouts. I want a clean sound without spending stupid money, this might do the trick.

Are both of those without a muffler? The X-Pipe set up sounds a little better it could probably go for a little deeper tone though

Double x too high pitch, it would drive me more crazy than droning.
Through the phone speaker it’s like nails on a chalkboard.🤷‍♂️
