Saffron: 1/2 tsp
Water: 1/4 cup
Second Marination;
1 cup greek full fat yogurt
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 large White sliced onion
For basting;
2 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp crushed saffron

Salaam Zubda. This might be a silly question but, do you cook/fry the marinaded onions too? I think they would be a tasty base or side to the rice served with the kababs, no?
