I am a worship pastor in the Omaha Nebraska area and I have been very encouraged by the works that you all are doing! It is good to see the clarity in which you are teaching the Bible and including historical context and original language. I will be praying for your ministries where you stand up for our faith in public spaces! THIS IS GREAT WORK.

Jesus in the Gospels said in His name to cast out Devils. In the temptation in the wilderness Jesus rebuked Satan, and again when Satan tried to rebuke Christ through Peter Jesus said "Get thee behind me Satan" and then in the temptation in the wilderness He said in Matthew 4 “is it not written, tempt not the Lord your God”, claiming to be the Lord God.

Furthermore, we also see Jesus forgiving sins of people (the cripple man and the woman caught in adultery), Jesus accepting worship of individuals He healed (the blind man, lepers, and Thomas), and in John 10:18 Jesus says He has power to lay down His life and raise Himself from the dead (personal power over life and death), and in John 10:27-28 Jesus says that He personally gives eternal life, and in John 4:26 Jesus claims to be the Messiah as prophesied of (Isaiah 9:6 called the Mighty God, Everlasting Father), and also in John 8 stating that He is the "I Am" multiple times (I Am in Greek is "ego eimi" meaning the Always Existing One) and the Pharisees tried to stone Him for blasphemy. An angel, prophet, or holy man couldn’t do that.

Additionally the Word of God says -

Ephesians 3:9) "And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"

John 1:1-3) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

Hebrews 1:2) "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

Hebrews 11:3) "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Colossians 1:16) "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
Christ Jesus is above all others -

Philippians 2:10-11) "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Romans 14:11) "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

Isaiah 45:22-23) "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear."

The Word made Flesh-

John 1:1-2) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God."

John 1:14) "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth."

1 John 5:7) "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
Additional passages -

John 8:24) “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

John 8:58) "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." - - ("I am" in the Greek is "ego eimi" meaning Always Existing, the everlasting to everlasting one)

John 10:25-30) "Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. -- (1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.)"

If Christ is not God, how can He grant eternal life to His followers?

Isaiah 9:6) "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Micah 5:2) “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

Acts 20:28) "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." - - (literally just said right there that God purchased the church with His own blood)

Colossians 2:8-9) "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." - - (the entire fullness, Jehovah God is in the body of Jesus. Thus why Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father, the Father in me and I in Him, and also to His disciples receive ye my Spirit and He breathed on them the Holy Spirit.)

Further Proof -

John 20:28-29) "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

1 Timothy 3:16) “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

1 Timothy 4:10) "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe."

1 John 5:20) "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."

But He was wounded (and died) for our sins
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peacewas upon Him,

When the true messiah comes (not in the second coming, but the first one) this will happen:

1 - The exiled Jews will return to Israel (but 70 years after Christ the Jews were exiled, the opposite happened)

He will lift up a banner among the nations and gather the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four ends of the earth.

(Isaiah, 11)

2 - The knowledge of God will fill the earth. (this has never happened, there is a lot of evil in the world yet)

No harm or harm will be done in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

(Isaiah, 11)

3 - Animals will not eat other animals anymore

The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie with the kid; and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling will live together; and a little boy will lead them.7. The cow and the bear will graze together, and their young will lie down together; and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

(Isaiah, 11)

4 - There will be a resurrection of the dead (never happened)

Therefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will open your graves, yea, I will bring you out of your graves, O my people, and will bring you into the land of Israel.

(Ezekiel, 37)

5 - Reconstruction of the temple in Israel (it has not happened yet on the other hand  at the time of Jesus the temple that was there was destroyed 70ad)

I will make with them a pact of peace, which will be a perpetual pact. And I will establish them, and multiply them, and set my sanctuary among them forever.

(Ezekiel, 37)

6 - The Messiah will do justice to the poor and kill the wicked (Jesus did not do justice in the world, he didn't kill anyone and unfortunately he was killed by Rome over 2000 years ago)

but he will judge with justice the poor, and will decide with equity in defense of the meek of the earth; and he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

7 - There will be an era of full peace, without wars (It never happened)

And he will judge among the nations, and will rebuke many peoples; and these shall turn their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles; one nation will not lift up sword against another nation, nor will they learn war any more.

(Isaiah 2)

8 - The peoples will go to Israel to learn the commandments of God with the Jewish people.

(This never happened, in fact the majority of people always hated and persecuted the Jews, eg Romans, Inquisition, Nazism, Palestinians, atheist and some lunatic christians etc...)

Many peoples will go, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways, and that we may walk in his paths; for out of Zion the law shall go forth, and out of Jerusalem the word of the LORD.

(Isaiah 2)

9 - The Messiah will be a descendant of King David and will be an active king when he comes

In that day the root of Jesse will be set for a standard of the peoples, to which the nations will resort; His abodes will be glorious to you.

(Isaiah, 11.10)

(But Jesus was never a king, he died and he was the son only of Mary (virgin) who was not a descendant of King David, Joseph who would be the descendant is not the father of Jesus.)

10 - The Messiah will make the people know and keep God's commandments (Jesus is adored as higher than God's law)

Also my servant David will reign over them, and they will all have one shepherd; they shall walk in my judgments, and keep my statutes, and observe them.

(Ezekiel, 37)

(On the other hand, Jesus' followers see the Law of God as useless, ("Old Testament") placing the responsibility for their "salvation" in faith on a person or blaming the evil of the world on Satan (the accuser) who actually is only an angel who reports to God the ERRORS and SINS THAT PEOPLE commit, he does not create the evil of the world according the the Hebrew scriptures)

11 - Immanuel's prophecy is not about a future messiah but in fact about a sign to King Acab of a child who would be born of a YOUNG (alma עלמה) (not a virgin Betulah בְּתוּלִים ) woman in Isaiah's days as a sign that before this child be aware of right and wrong God already would have destroyed the enemies of Israel at that time.

("wrong" translation and prophecy out of context)

Read Ezekiel 7 in full

7.16. For before the boy knows how to reject evil and choose good, the land of the two kings before whom you tremble with fear will be desolate.

12-Both the Jews and the peoples WILL immediately RECOGNIZE the Messiah when he comes. (This did not happen with Jesus, since Jews, Arabs, Indians, Chinese and many many other peoples do not recognize Jesus as messiah neither as a prophet)

And he was given dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that ALL peoples, nations, and tongues might serve him; his dominion is an eternal dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom such that it will not be destroyed.

(Daniel, 7)

13 - Miracles or signs do not indicate the true messiah

To rise up among you prophet, or dreamer of dreams, and announce to you a sign or wonder,

and the sign or wonder of which I have spoken to you shall come to pass, and he shall say, Let us go after other gods whom ye have never known, and let us serve them,

ye shall not hear the words of that prophet, or that dreamer; for the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

(Deuteronomy, 13)

14 - The famous prophecy of the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 does not talk about the Messiah, it talks about the suffering of the people of Israel (the servant of God) coming out of Babylon

Read Isaiah 40 to 53

and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; thou art Israel, by whom I shall be glorified.

(Isaiah, 49)

15- The bible and the prophets REJECT human sacrifice, because no one can die to pay for the sin of another person, much less all the people of humanity

Parents will not be put to death for their children, nor children for their parents; each will die for his own sin.

(Deuteronomy, 24)

16 - According to the Bible itself when the true messiah comes, he will not be considered God incarnate or a part of God, he will be just a king, an ordinary human being (not divine) with a mission. Because God is not a human being, everything that exists is within God, the Creator of everything.

That's why He is omnipresent, He is everywhere because all places are within Him.

God is not man, so he lies; nor son of man, that he might repent.

(Numbers, 23)

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”

“In the places you have looked for me, you won’t find me. When you’ve tried everything else, try Me.”

The ones who don’t make it to heaven did not realize I am the love of their life and they are the love of mine.” -Jesus

His love for us individually:
Psalms 139 “How amazing are your thoughts concerning me, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand on the sea—“

He has an appointment with us every morning:
Job 7:17 “What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention, that you visit them every morning
and test them every moment?

Jesus created us, we are his Masterpiece:
Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Isaiah 9:6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Psalms 139 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Acts 17:26From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28‘For in him we live and move and have our being.

The Bible says God hands us our every breath. As long as we are alive, he is still supporting us and longing for us to turn back to him, we are his child, the joy of his life. He is the Embodiment of Love. “God is love.” He has one need and that is to love. Our reason for being. Our sole purpose in life is to find him. To remember him. He gives us infinite chances to come back to him in this life because he unconditionally loves us, way beyond even the love our parents feel for us.

“I am a Father to the fatherless.” Psalm 68

Take the bate he gives you. Do not reject him. Try him.
“He is wooing you from the jaws of distress (demons, hell, eternal horror and fear, separation from God and his attributes) into a spacious place, free of restriction.”

He is not against anyone of us:

Ezekiel 18:21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

Joel 2 Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.
14Who knows? He may turn and relent
and leave behind a blessing.

Isaiah 30:18
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion… How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.

A month ago, Jesus gave me the most precious gift I could ever ask for. It was a vision of himself watching me with his loving eyes on me. He looked over at me from where he was sitting in a chair with the most loving caring smile, like he had always been watching me…even before I came to know him. Even more than fatherly, it was a motherly kind of love, not as if to say “what are you doing today?” but “how are you doing?” He really cared about me like my own mother would, I was surprised to see that kind of love. I knew immediately that’s how he watched everyone, with the care of both a father and a mother. He smiled and without moving his mouth, I heard him say “I will never leave you.”

A few days later, I had two repeated dreams of that vision, and I heard this verse immediately after it both times:

Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Jesus wants to pour out his heart to us:

Proverbs 1
23If you had repented at my rebuke, then surely I would have poured out my heart to you; I would have made my thoughts known to you.

Psalms 25
14The Lord confides in those who fear him.

Amos 4 He reveals his thoughts to mankind.

Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Isaiah 45 I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me, if I could not be found.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, ” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14I will be found by you, ” declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 10:23 Lord I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.

These verses really helped me move my fear/respect/need for attention away from humans and over to God:

Isaiah 2 22Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem?

Mathew 10 28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Proverbs 8 To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.

psalms 86 You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.

Jeremiah 33:9 They will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Psalms 53:2God looks down from heaven
on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

1 Chronicles 28 Acknowledge the God of your fathers, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you!

When we sin, we partner with demons. When we’ve given into them and been a slave to them in this life, they own us for eternity. In hell, we are on their turf —outside of God’s protection. They hate us. Torture is their game. Torture did not originate with man, but demons. Do not partner with the demon of lust, demon of anger, demon of addiction…etc. These are not just innocent temptations we all have; anyone who has had sleep paralysis has briefly met the demon/s that will own them forever in hell. God uses dreams to warn us:

Job 33 For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword…29“God does all these things to a person—twice, even three times—to turn them back from the pit, that the light of life may shine on them.

James 4:7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you.

Where is hell? The center of the Earth.
Scientists say Earth’s core is 12, 000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Job 26:5“The dead are in deep anguish,
those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
Psalms 73 How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors!

Ezekiel 18 Are my ways unjust, people of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

95% of countries have reported Near Death Experiences of heaven and hell. Cardiologists, Neurosurgeons and ER doctors have documented many patient Near Death Experiences in their peer-reviewed studies after their patient was clinically dead and medically revived. Millions around the globe that have experienced an NDE have reported that after death, we are much more alive than we ever thought we would be. Experiences of both extremes, heaven and hell have been documented in peer reviewed medical studies by doctors. 23 Minutes in Hell by Bill Weise was my personal first encounter with NDE’s that God brought my way inorder to wake me up to the reality of hell in April 2021, soon after I came to him. He showed me what my fate would have been if I had never turned back to him. “At any point in your life, had you died, you would have gone to hell.” That horrifically surprised me because I had always thought I was a good person. It was so easy to see other’s faults but never my own.

psalms 19 But who can discern their own errors?

Jeremiah 12:3 Yet you know me, Lord;
you see me and test my thoughts about you.

Isaiah 52:5 “And all day long
my name is constantly blasphemed.
But I will reveal my name to my people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will recognize that I am the one who speaks to them. Yes, it is I.”

“I will go to the ends of the earth so that everyone is with me forever.” —Jesus

If you want to know God, all you have to do is ask Him.

Much love,
Amy

The Bible predicted the Messiah would have his hands and feet pierced, they were as He was nailed to the cross. (They could have hung Him) The Bible predicted that He would be hated by His own people, by and large the Jews did NOT accept Him as messiah. The Bible predicted the Messiah would suffer a criminal's death, He was crucified between two criminals. The Bible predicted the Messiah would come 483 years after the king made a decree to re-build Jerusalem, Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem claiming to be Messiah to the day 483 years after King Artexersis made a decree to re-build Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be buried in a rich man's tomb, Jesus was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimethea, a very rich man. The Bible said the Messiah would be called a Nazarene, Jesus grew up in Nazareth. The Bible said the Messiah would be given vinegar, the Roman soldiers gave Jesus vinegar on the cross. The Bible said the Jewish Messiah would be a light to the Gentiles, (non-Jews) The vast majority of followers of Jesus around the world are NON-Jews. The Bible said the Messiah would be called oout of Egypt. The parents of Jesus took Him as an infant to Egypt to escape Herod who wanted to kill all babies under two. They were called back to Israel from Egypt after Herod died. The Bible predicted that a close friend would betray the Messiah, Judas told the Roman soldiers where to find Jesus. The Bible predicted the Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah; Jesus was. The Bible said the Messiah would be from the lineage of King David; Jesus was. The Bible predicted the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem; Jesus was. The Bible said The Messiah would NOT have any broken bones; it was customary for crucified individuals to have their bones broken to hasten death, but when they came to Jesus, He was already dead. The Bible said the Messiah would have people gamble for His clothes; the soldiers at the crucifixion gambled for Jesus' cloak. The Bible said the Messiah would bring in a new covenant; Jesus did. His death on the cross, once for all did away with the need for the slaughtering of lambs at the Jewish temple. The Bible said the Messiah would suffer; Jesus was beaten, had his beard ripped out of His face, and was brutally nailed to the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would be a prophet; Jesus predicted the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would come riding on a donkey; Jesus did. The Bible said the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver; Judas Iscariot was given 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. The Bible said the Messiah would be a willing sacrifice; Jesus willingly went to the cross, and even predicted His death in Jerusalem. The Bible said the Messiah would be proceeded by a messenger; Jesus was heralded by John the Baptist. The Bible said the Messiah would be descended from Abraham; Jesus was a descendant of Abraham. The Bible said the Messiah would be lifted up; Jesus was lifted up on the cross. The Bible said the Messiah would perform signs of healing; Jesus did. I could go on, but it is already so long you probably won't read it.

Shalom, the messenger mentioned in Malachi 3, is the Levites. There is no mention of a Messiah at all. When read in context, Yah speaks of establishing his priesthood again to lead the people back to him. It is to establish a renewed covenant.

Although Jesus was Jewish, he did not fulfill any of the other Messianic criteria. An examination of the contradictory accounts of Jesus’ genealogy demonstrates this. Specifically, the New Testament claims that Jesus did not have a physical father. The Bible, however, clearly states that a person’s genealogy and tribal membership is transmitted exclusively through one’s physical father (Numbers 1:18, Jeremiah 33:17). Therefore, Jesus cannot possibly be a descendant of the tribe of Judah nor of King David and King Solomon.

There are even further problems with any attempts to use the Bible to prove Jesus’ genealogy through Joseph, the husband of Mary.

For the New Testament claims that Joseph was a descendant of King Jeconiah, who in the Bible was cursed to never have a descendant “sitting on the throne of David and ruling any more in Judah” (Jeremiah 22:30). Joseph’s genealogy, even if it were transmittable to Jesus, would only serve to further disqualify Jesus as the Messiah.

Finally, there is the problem of the contradictory accounts of Jesus’ genealogy in Matthew, Chapter 1 and Luke, Chapter 3. The common Christian explanation of this contradiction claims that Luke’s genealogy is that of Jesus’ mother, Mary. However, this is unfounded, even according to the Greek original. In addition, it has already been established that genealogy is transferred solely through the father, making this attempted explanation completely irrelevant. Even if one could trace one’s genealogy through one’s mother, there would be the additional problem in that Luke 3:31 lists Mary as a descendant of David through Nathan, Solomon’s brother, and not through Solomon himself as is prophesied in I Chronicles 22:10.

All other messianic criteria have obviously not been fulfilled, either during Jesus’ time or since. Any Christian claims that these final criteria will be fulfilled in a “Second Coming” are irrelevant because the concept of the Messiah coming twice has no scriptural basis.

G-d says Elijah, Jesus says John the Baptist, John the Baptist says he's not Elijah. Interesting

Romans 1, "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, and set apart for the gospel of God---2, the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, etc.". In first Co, 1, second Co 1, and Eph 1, Paul adds that he became or was called to become apostle of Christ by the will of God. But in Gal 1, the same tale changes to: "Paul an apostle---sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, etc.". So, was Paul the only scribe who bragged of having been told by God to teach or preach his word. Even while Paul was claiming that God talked to him, some believers he was visiting in Anatolia wanted Paul to prove it. Paul never did nor could he. So, Jesus not born of a virgin and not come from heaven [being there as God], but descended from David---a man. Paul goes on to confirm in Gal 4:4 that Jesus was a human being. So, does also He 2:17, "Jesus was fully human in every way". Paul's doctrine required---and in order that sins of his believers be forgiven and that they be saved, a real person had to be killed--else no go. However, a lot of believers have several different ideas about who or what Jesus was, that differ much from former notions. It does, tho, make more sense to sacrifice a human than to sacrifice God.
But it makes even more sense if God said: I am forgiving all sins and saving everybody. But the best of all of them, if God refused to make us fallible. But for these damn Jews, we just might have had God like that; instead, we got a monster; torturing all of us.
