Spider bites in India are usually nonpoisonous. However we do come across poisonous spider bites. The commonest one is the black widow spider. So sometimes these spider bites can be very fatal and it requires immediate antidote management and supportive care. So if is a simple bite then application of ice cubes will to reduce the inflammation taking an analgesic. The toxins can be cardiotoxic or neurotoxic and hence they need a primary health care intervention immediately they notice a spider bite. So may at time, they have to monitor the BP, the blood pressure. We have to check their pulse and also and their heart rate and any variation in this, is usually treated in an intensive care unit.
