if you want to see how the heat works, heat up a cup of water as if you are going to make tea, put in a spoon till hot, press back of spoon on your bite repeat till itch is gone. you may have redness from the hot spoon but MY GOSH it works so well.. I am allergic to mosquito bites so the heat up method works for me big time

Put your bite under very hot water for a few seconds to relieve itching.

Have always used spit, works fine for me! I use it on small cuts too.

I went a friends house recently and I came back and I had a large red circle on my arm the next day and a few little bug bites near the area until just now I thought it was just one bite that was really big like the spider bite I had once but after close examination I realized that it’s a Ton of little bits in one spot because if I move my arm a certain way I can see all the little white dots that his in the redness

Going to ER seems excessive and expensive to treat infection... maybe urgent care or use walk in hours at a clinic

I get allergic reaction and had to go hospital a good few times. What I do now takes them down right away is wash it with a bar of soap then pore hot water on it if the itch has gone you done a good job. Just be careful not to make it too hot. Boiling and add cold to it make it hottest you can take without burning yourself. I did burn myself like a fool this year doing it too hot and ended up with a huge blister so be careful.

I got a secondary infection due to scratching mosquito bites, I had this pus coming out of the sores and where the pus travelled, more sores came, it was terrible.

Scratchingaround the bite soothes it for me, idk how good it is though.. i feel like it is okay since im not actually scratching the bite

i feel though that often the infected bite heals itself fine without intervention? ofc best to side with caution but who can really be assed when its not actually necessary
