Well now that Intel making GPU’s just like AMD. Then it could be fun to see if Nvidia started building CPU’s

Yes we want more GPUs but what we want is the ability to buy them at MSRP and have to sell half of our gear to get one.

PC parts have gotten so expensive that i have considered selling my pc and buying half decent laptop and wait until prices fall if they ever.
Also power consumption has gotten pretty big. Electricity is pretty expensive at the moment in europe.

We want, in general, gpu’s.. for the consumer (non-mining) base, unless graphical demands increase on AAA titles or rendering, then consumers will buy whatever is available. Still haven’t been able to get my hands on a 3080 at retail.

Honestly, if Intel gets a good RTX 3070 level card and go from there at competitive prices and efficient af in terms of energy, it would be a really strong contender for the blue ocean of "people who don't get money from gaming".

We really talk too little about the Switch Mariko going from 12 to 7 Watts. They didn't even increase the battery, it was just sheer chip optimisation. Why do we have to have ludicrous amounts of energy instead of being efficient af little cards?

While I get R&D is years ahead of the products available for sale the fact the 3000 series is nearly unobtainable really makes a new 4000 series feel bad

Imagine having to spend more than the mean household has per month on a fucking GPU, what the hell is this?!?!
If the prices double next gen that is about 3 grand for the highest end product. Here in German the mean income per month is 2300€. Insanity

To the point where im happy to hear Intel or even a Chinese company entering the market.

I know performance is what gets juices flowing but i feel like rtx 3070 and below performance is what most people want. There is a reason the 1060 was such a huge hit. Just need millions of those cranked out

I’d be starting my pc build right now but the cheapest 3070 I found was almost $1, 000 so looks like a laptop it is boys and girls

Absolutely agree. I feel like NVIDIA and AMD have started to loose touch with the more "budget" based cards and shifted their entire focus towards flagship cards that might cost the same as an entire system. I think people are seriously undermining the capabilities of lower end cards like the 2060 and 6600xt, especially because most people looking for cards in their price range are playing 1080p anyhow. Intel (hopefully) releasing some more budget cards soon would be really good for the market and provide a lot more options for people who are just trying to get their hands on something that can play newer games well.

Intel has to aim low and come out with consumer cards that are affordable. Intel has punch both nvidia and amd in the balls to knock some sense into this godforsaken industry because we are tired of seeing halo products that costs a house mortgage. Just give people an affordable card with mid tier performance amd Intel has pretty much won this war before it starts.

To be precise: I want more affordable GPUs at a much better price to performance ratio than what's available now. Even if supply wan't an issue - the MSRP has to go down again in addition to the street price.

Graphcore and Cerebrus are two companies in particular that have a true competitor to Nvidia's A100,
plus Radeon's forthcoming MI250X.

Im waiting for 4xxx series and also hope to see another Noctua Edition for cooling like the 3070
