The fact is you can still use multiple GPUs for things. Blender for example. Pairing a 3060M to a 4070 eGPU and then on top of that your iGPU makes rendering such a blaze with a laptop and I love it

They implemented the idea of sli totally wrong, that’s why you don’t see it today. Instead of your pc using both gpus simultaneously, it actually just uses one card until it’s at max load, and then switches to the next. This switching between cards is what causes the issue that killed sli: stuttering. And another huge problem was the fact games devs were responsible for supporting sli, instead of it being handled by drivers. If they would have just allowed both gpus to be ran simultaneously as one large gpu, and implement support via drivers, Al of us would be rocking sli 2 gpus. What a sad waste of a great idea.
