I keep each iPhone for five years before I buy a new one

My iPhone 11 kicked the bucket, and I've ordered a 16. I get 5G, wifi 7, a thread radio, 8 gigs of ram, better wireless charging than Qi2, and 2 extra buttons... all on a NON-PRO iPhone? Sign me up. This might be the most future-proofed iPhone ever.

I'm using the iPhone 13 Pro Max and there is nothing on this phone I wish was better. If I can get another two or three years out of this "old phone, " I'll be happy!

Coming from an iP15 Pro user, if you still have the 13 Pro, there’s no reason for you to upgrade. Dynamic Island and the Action button are just gimmicky and no real world use. I’m assuming it’s the same with the 16 Pro.

I'm on an iPhone 13 Pro and think there's enough difference to warrant an upgrade. The problem is that I really prefer how my 13 Pro looks vs what's available for the 16 Pro. If I wait, I'll likely skip the 17 as well and wait for the 18.

I firmly believe that the 16 Plus is the winner of the two 'Standard' models. The only thing that's holding it back is that Damn 60hz Refresh Rate...

It's not a flop if you don't update every year and wait 3 years... quit setting the expectation to upgrade every year. I went from a 13 to the 16 and love it.

Nope, Apple stores are super busy. I had to wait 30 min on a Wednesday afternoon to buy one at my local Apple stores

My 3 year old iPhone 13 Pro was suddenly losing battery health, it had little scratches all over the screen and a couple of small dings around the edges. I still got £270 trade in for a 16 pro with interest free credit. For that I get all the updates of the last 3 years, the most significant being USB-C, 5x zoom lens, Action button which handles a really useful shortcut and a much brighter screen. And no 60hz refresh rate, which is the main reason I can’t go back to standard iPhones.

This video makes no sense. If anything, the standard models have caught up too much with the pro models. The gap between standard and “pro” feels smaller than ever. This is the first time an iPhone cycle has made me feel like the standard version is actually more attractive than a pro model, and most major media outlets and content creators report that sentiment.

It's worth upgrading from my iPhone X. However, most YouTubers are reviewing the Pro models to encourage potential buyers. That's annoying.

After 4 years with the iPhone 12 base model it was time for an upgrade, My phone was glitchy and starting to lose its battery life fast. I will use my 16 for another 4 years, then upgrade again once this one hits the bag

I'm still using an iPhone 6S. Amazingly the apps I use are still supporting it and until they don't, not in a rush to upgrade. But if it died in the next few months, I'd still just look at getting the iPhone 15 or maybe the new SE if it's released in the spring.

These are not flops. They will still sell tens of millions. Even though they will sell less than last year, it will sell a lot. Flop from an investor standpoint, yes but not a bad phone at all. And the cheaper versions will sell less because iPhone users keep their phones a long time so when they upgrade many people get the best versions. It's the same now with Galaxy users. Phones have gotten really good. There is no such thing as a bad phone

Upgraded from 14 pro max to 16 pro max. I definitely notice the smaller bezels, bigger screen, and slightly different body style. I’ve been enjoying it and I’m really excited for AI, I don’t mind to wait as long as  can polish up what they have ready and have it work almost perfectly. I’m happy with mine.

AI was the main selling point. Complete F up by Apple on this. Friends with 16/16Pro are very disappointed.
