If you are upgrading from the iphone 14 pro max to the 16 pro max it kinda makes sense because you are getting a lighter phone, bigger screen w less bezels, more storage (if you have the 128 gb switching to 256gb) and bigger battery and apple intelligence.

16 pro max is my first IPhone. There was a definite learning curve coming from android. I’m glad the AI is not available yet. It gave me a chance to learn using an I phone. Now getting comfortable with the camera. Good investment for me.

Just upgraded from the 13 and I have to say I have missed the pro max models quite a bit more than I thought over the years. The size while they are a minimal upgrade compared to recent pro-max models are a huge upgrade from the base 6” base models, the camera control button I could have lived without as far as being useful my only major gripe with it is I think they missed there mark on it by about an inch as held in its intended position the controls just feel uncomfortable to reach and use with my fingers. Sound is great, cameras are great, picture quality and lighting is great, battery life is great. Really enjoying the purchase and was a much needed upgrade from the 13 Base model, thanks Matt for your review it was useful and informative!!

I like my iPhone 16 pro max 1TB model. One thing I wish Apple would have designed it with a scroll instead; the same one as is on the Apple watch instead of the slider. With my Benks case the button is a little hard to press and the slider works ok but not buttery smooth. When I try the half press to get to options I end up doing a full press and taking a picture. I think the Awatch scroll wheel is a much better solution placed in the same location on the iPhone. Then if you scroll by placing your finger to the front side instead of having to place it on the top side, much easier. You can easily simulate performing said action by placing your hands in said position and moving your finger back and forth. Try it for yourself. And try placing your finger in different locations and feel the difference.

Coming from a 14 Pro I do appreciate the upgrades … wish more functionality & customization will be made available for the camera control button…

a case with soft release button so that the camera doesn’t shake so much when pressing the shutter button will be great

I also love my 16 pro max 🔥 I upgraded from the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the bigger display, battery life and type C alone were a reason to upgrade for me but I love the titanium build, the camera system takes better photos especially with the new lens, I love the edition of the action button as well that the 14 pro max didn’t have. I haven’t tried the camera control feature much yet but that’s a cool edition as well especially if you a photographer! I love my new iPhone and it’s gonna be a great phone for the next 2 years! I upgrade every two years! Thanks for the review!
