I remember it’s extremely hard to kill a banana tree without using poison. It will grow back every time you cut it. My uncle once dug the whole tree out with its roots, burned it and left there and it still grew back a few weeks later.

We still have wild bananas with seeds in the Philippines.

When I was young, I remember eating different types of bananas from my great aunt's big backyard in Thailand. My favorite ones were the ones with green peels (riped). I also liked the ones with tons of seeds (typically used only when unriped and seeds are still white). My great aunt made salad with those tart bananas mixed with unriped pineapple, hot chillis, and fish sauce. So good!😋

Also the reason why banana flavored candy doesn't taste like bananas is because these wild bananas described in the videos went extinct due to the fact it basically cloned itself and due to the fact it cloned itself it has no resistance to a certain type of fungus so the fungus made this banana extinct

The process og making seedless fruit is called parthenocarpy, which is often gained by repeated hybridisation. But the pure lines still produce viable seeds. The side shoot thing, also called vegetative reproduction is common for both seeded and seedless banana plants. To maintain the seedless quality of banana, vegetative reproduction is important as no genetic recombinant takes place, thus the traits remain constant in the hybrid varieties...hope it helps...have a good day

I think it's crazy how much humans have impacted certain species with domestication. Like dogs and cats exist as their own type of species because of us.

Clones.
We actually used a different kind of bannana until a plague spread and made the species extinct.

Its called vegetative propagation
