Having just entered the world of EVs, these basic videos are excellent. Many thanks.

Good video. Thanks. We’ve just got a Mercedes EV loan car and now working out how to charge it a a fast charge station and where they are. Such a shame that the manufacturers couldn’t get their act together and agree on a single standard plug. Needless to say, as much as I’m enjoying the Merc, the range is still poor in Evs for the long distance commute my wife and I do.

Looking at a plug in hybrid as at the minute looks to much messing around unhitching and charging and hitching the caravan back up afterwards.
Hopefully things will improve in time

In the video you are relatively positive when talking about "13a plug" charging. To give some balance, most of the electronics used within the car to convert 230v mains to DC battery voltage is less efficient when used at this rate so you use more electricity than you might expect for the improved range you actually get. Also, even a 10a rate is on the high side for a domestic socket if left on for hours at a time and the plug and socket need to be monitored for heat build up.

Where are these free charge points you speak about in the video? Ive looked everywhere, and im yet to find a free charge point. Never mind the fact that the cost of charging had almost doubled.

Is it ok to charge most of the time from a 3pin plug ie will it damage the battery?

This is all very well but you don't discuss cost per kWh.

Useful video and admirable company, but the thumbnail inadvertently reveals a continuing EV charging issue: raindrops all over the charge port, because almost no installations, unlike petrol (gas) stations, offer the basic courtesy of a protective canopy. The cost would be negligible, so why not? The effect - intended or not - is to off-set the amenity with indignity and nuisance, as if EV users were second class citizens.
