Tip: The New War enemies adapt to your Necramech/Railjack level. You don't need to level it up, I did the quest with no difficulties with a level 0 Voidrig.

Another thing you can do is do an isolation bounty lvl 3, after you finish the mission, stay there and infested will spawn in corridors infinitely. Takes no time if you have just exp booster. Extract when you reach about lvl 26 and you will be maxed with bonus.

The corpus survival mission Lu-Yan is a good place to level up Necramech. I ran the mission twice with both 20 min survival runs without any affinity booster and fully maxed out my Voidrig, mausolon, and arquebex!

You need tactical 5 to summon the mech, but, if you do it with friends/guildmates in a pre-made group, only the person who actually starts it needs 7. (since the cost of the next intrinsic grows exponentially, getting to that survival ASAP is a big time saver.)Or, at least that's how it used to work.

ADD: Also, because of that exponential cost meaning 5 is relatively cheap... If you still want it, I'd actually recommend engineering 7. Reloading your big cannon is one of the more essential abilities to do RJ fast.

ADD2: to be precise, next level costs as much as all the levels before it +1 xp. So, level 6 is as much as 1-5, and level 7 is twice that. So, going from 5 to 7 is 3x the XP needed to go from 1 to 5.

Having returned to the game recently I had no mech and no railjack so I'm currently building up both. Now there is a minor issue with the method you recommend in this video, unless I've overlooked something:
To get to the veil you have to progress through every railjack node on each planet, so earth-venus-saturn-etc. However the corpus planets like venus each has an orphix node which pretty much require a decent mech to complete. Yes, I'm sure the method in this video is great if you want to do the 5 forma journey, but you sort of need to do some basic leveling of the mech elsewhere...

I just got a railjack and needed to level up for New War. This video showed me how to do it

Bonewidow legit took me 3 days to level without Thermia Fractures or Double Affinty Weekend or clan blessing. Doubt I'll even use her. Just ran out and pissed of Corpus at the Temple of Profit. Used the same method for Voidrig, but it went much faster.

For Intrinsics, I did the good ol' Stealth Ivara on a Galleon tactic. Dunno if it got patched but I hope not, for new player's sake. That was before Corpus Railjack, maybe even before Railjack Revisited. I don't remember. I just know I got the last instrinsics for Corpus Railjack just by passively farming Railjack to complete all Corpus nodes.
