I grew up in an abusive religious cult. The parallels between authoritarian expressions of religion and the tribal nature of political parties are astounding in my own experience. The unbidden sacrifice of the individual to do the bidding of the collective, based on power and paranoia are the main driving forces of both cults and tribal, political ideologies. It's all toxic. I have no party. I want to make art, be free, and be left alone. I don't believe there is any government collective that holds that value in equal esteem as those who espouse liberty and just want to live their lives, their way, without harming others. When I pay attention to the things happening in modern times, I become nervous and sick, but I will not give in to despair either. Karma has always been a boomerang.

It doesn’t matter the political party, it’s our knowing the difference between right and wrong. Those who vibe higher are led by intuition, gut instincts and emotional intelligence.

I don't know how this guy is an "expert" as he got the political sides backwards. The right is about the individual within the society and the left is about the collective group. Right wing wants privatized health care while left wing wants national healthcare. Right wing ideology also wants less government power/interference while the left wants the opposite. Also the fact that he says the right is about preserving authority and fear while the liberals are about compassion shows you exactly how these people brainwash society into thinking they're so virtuous

BTW I have no political affiliation with either side. Just want to make it clear I think it's idiotic to entertain the idea that right wingers have no compassion, because saying that definitely wouldn't further divide people and demonize one side...

Currently, I don’t see “right wingers” fighting to protect the “group, ” but rather the concept of “self.”

Seems to me that the “left wingers” are more absorbed by various group concepts.

It's a clash between givers and worked hard all my life, I've never been on unemployment, have paid my bills and taxes and they just want more. I worry after all my hard work that I'll just be pulled down to the beggar status simply because there are too many takers and not enough givers. I have deep empathy for people that truly need help. Not so for the people that live in victim mode.
