A lot of cameras use infrared lights, to spot them turn off the lights in the room and then open the camera app on your phone and move it around you should see like purple or white light coming from the hidden cameras.


Another way of hiding cameras is placing it behind a one-way mirror that is reflective on one side and transparent at the other, put your finger on the mirror and look at it from an angle if you see a gap between your finger and its reflection it would be probably a one-way mirror with a camera behind it.
