Hidden camera found in BC Airbnb bathroom prompts warning for renters

A group of women is warning others to check their rental homes after they said they found a hidden camera in the bathroom of their Airbnb.

Vancouver resident Jamie Gladman booked a place on the Sunshine Coast in March for her 30th birthday and she needed a place that could accommodate a large group.

“It had about 15 (reviews), but it was really good ratings,” she told Global News. “So I just figured it’s a newer place, but like it has good reviews, good ratings. It looked nice, so I booked it and was quick to correspond with the host, so (I) didn’t see any issues.”

On the second night, Kennedy Calwell, who made a TikTok video of the incident, said they discovered a hidden camera in the bathroom, facing the shower.

So it ended up being false and the guests were found to have lied and they should all be charged for mischief. The Host lost her bookings for two months while it was investigated.

The best way to deal with this is to IDENTIFY the person as PUBLICLY as possible and ensure that the rest of the community is aware of a predator in their midst.. likely a more than sexually motivated individual with real problem that is a risk to the community

This person needs to be locked up. What if that was a child? Doesnt change the fact that they are a sick human being. The account shouldnt be suspended it should be put on blast and let the public know who this is. There are other victims clearly!!! And thoes victims deserve to take action against this person as well. These girls shouls make it public where they stayed because who knows what else this sick person was able to watch for the entire time they never got caught. This person needs to be put behind barsA

Yep, it’s in their fine print, found one in the wall hanging that went to the mirror that was across from the bed. I took the wall hanging down and the red light in the mirror went away at night
