In my school Nail techs are taught to remove this EXACTLY as it shows in this video. Good job 👏

I dont rhink its good to remove proximital fold because it protects from bacteria coming in

That is not the cuticle it is the proximal fold. It should not be removed as it is there to prevent infection

You're not supposed to cut it off though. Could end up getting infected which leads to removal of the nail.

That’s not how to cut cuticle. Cuticle is the dead skin stuck to the nail plate ONLY. She’s cutting the proximinal nail fold.
Which you CAN cut, but it’s not necessary. It’s purely cosmetic. And you only wanna trim it if it’s the topmost layer is dry, because that is dead skin.

that's not cuticle. that's proximal fold. and it is a living skin. why you cut a living skin?

I think we have cuticles for a reason so I just push mines back a little but I don’t cut them this looks wrong to me lol and scary 😅😅
