When I was younger I viewed Herzberg's two factor theory as a linear equation, where the two variables - factors - X and Y produced an outcome - competitive advantage - that strongly related to their intrinsic values. However, time has taught me, there is no linear relationship between hygienes and motivational factors - organisations that are worker centric always have a competitive edge. For example, COSCO.
