Goggins has gotten progressively better at conveying a more humanistic presence for public speaking. Yet he still maintains the savage mentality of a warrior.

Every 3/4 months or so I completely lose my motivation, to the point I want to stop and drop out, eat shit, and drink too much. It's fucking hard man, really hard to balance it all, 3 adult kids now., senior role at work, a husband for 28 years....also now a Grandfather.

I tweeted to Jocko Willink about 2 years ago and asked how he keeps going, he just replied with simplicity he said "move the bar, just move the bar"

I didn't initially understand what he meant, but then the penny dropped, he was telling me to stop thinking about it, stop overthinking, think about my age, to never stop.

Spent one year in military special service in Finland. The point of the training is to push you to your limits and way beyond, because in actual combat situations you must be able to handle extreme physical and mental stress.
