Ladies let's work on strengthening and extending your lower voice.

We often neglect the low notes in our range and focus all our efforts into improving the impressive top notes. So as a reminder to work at both ends of your vocal range Mark and I have provided these low singing exercises for you. It's advised to exercise regularly in order to keep your voice in tip top condition. We have many exercises here for your to work with and more on the way.

And many more - Browse through our video tab to see what's on offer.

Your voice is a muscle and if you're serious about wanting to learn to sing well then you need to strengthen that muscle. I can speak from experience, as someone who couldn't belt, twang, sing more than an octave and a bit and had massive pitching issues to someone who has been singing professionally for the last 15 years. I did at least 15 minutes exercising a day as well as singing through lots of material and within six months my voice made an incredible change. You can too.

I don't think I've ever seen a guy who looks so much like my dad when he was younger! Makes me miss him even more. <3

I already sing low, but after so many years of harmonizing with my favorite singers who happen to be soprano (and my friends are soprano--like, girly soprano, which is always made me and my voice feel old, lol), I feel like it's time to go back to my natural area and see what I can do with it.

I’m a 1st soprano and all my life I’ve only ever been trained in the very classical, choral sort of music that barely uses the bottom half of the treble staff. Now I’m trying to get into musical theater and it’s definitely a struggle. Thank you for these exercises!

After warming up my high notes are strong but my lower range almost completely disappears :( That's why I came here

I use this warm up so often that I have the intro and transitions between exercises memorised as much as the exercises themselves

My choir teacher put me in the alto section and I can’t reach the low notes so thank you for this video 🙏🏻

These are great. I'm a contralto, so low D was always doable for me (I can get sound all the way to A2 but it's rough). More recently I've been getting to low C consistently, but C and even B were noticeably easier for me while doing these exercises.

Thank you for addressing the low range. One question, do these low register exercises require any particular warm-up?

You guys are so awesome. I have sang my entire life and I have always struggled with not having enough power or control over my voice. I have realized that I have tension in every part of my body. I’ve started doing your exercises every day just for the last few weeks and I’ve already noticed a change. Thank you for what you do! Thank you for helping me to learn how to sing correctly and to experience freedom and enjoy singing!

The last exercise is hillarious, but it sounds so good when you sing it XD Thank you for this video. Maybe you could make another one with exercises for strenghening the higher range?

I randomly came across this channel. I have to say for a female I do better in the low ranges. I could do that song when it was lower but once you got too high I couldn’t. I love this channel thank you for the content I took singing in school but didn’t learn much and it’s sucked. I learned more in three videos than I did a year in school.

Thank you for this! This really helped me with opening up my lower voice. It's the first video that gently allowed me to reach my notes after not singing for a long time. I've missed singing so much and this gives me hope that my gears are still ready for action with the right practice. I also love both your energies in delivery. It was friendly, calm and not intimidating at all. God bless you both, thank you. =) <3

Hi Anna and Mark, Anna I love your teaching, I 'm a singer and I've been following you since last year. Twice or three times a week I try to make all the exercises of your weekly singing program and since I'm complying all the exercises from your great videos I can say that I'm singing better. I live in Italy and here there are great professors but I can only afford lessons with a coach once in a week just for an hour, so I tried to find something on You tube and I found you. Anna, you're the best of all. Now, let' s go to work and make these new exercises to strength the lower range, what else can I say to you guys ?, you are such a great team, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart!! <3
