I hate the sequals Because they ruin the prequels Anakin was the chosen one because he killed palpatine and ended his own life that’s he is the chosen one now in the rise of the Skywalker Palpatine came back which does not make any sense, it just broke the orignals and prequels

Imagine if a sith cultist snuck up on Rey and chloroformed her unconscious. Then they lay her down on an alter to perform a ritual where they'd bewitch her with sith alchemy and magic so she'd be their Sith Empress on Exegol.

I think another part of it is that Ben had just shown up to help her. Even though he'd just been thrown into a pit (ugh) he stopped Rey from falling to the Dark Side just by being there. He was Rey's anchor and a reason to keep fighting.

Darth Sidious won makes more sense, the movie never says she has to kill him in hatred, just that she has to kill him, which she does. That just said 9 is bad and they would be better redoing it altogether
