Coach (Kyle Chandler) is afraid his personal affection for Matt (Zach Gilford) and his hatred for McCoy Sr. (DW Moffett) are clouding his football judgment. When Matt sees Coach working with Joe (Jeremy Sumpter), he fears his days as QB1 are numbered. At the same time, his mother (guest star Kim Dickens) shows up and offers to help out with grandma (Louanne Stephens). After meeting Billy’s (Derek Phillips) rodeo friend, Cash, Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) keeps blowing off Landry (Jesse Plemons) to hang out with the new bad boy in town.
