Relationship between Coach and Smash gets tense when Smash's attitude comes in to play.

Season 01, Episode 15, Blinders,
After their first thrilling victory in the playoffs, the Panthers feel invincible - until Mac (Blue Deckert) makes racial statements that test the team's bond. Tim (Taylor Kitsch) and Billy (Derek Phillips) adjust to having their father back in their lives while Tami (Connie Britton) worries about Julie's (Aimee Teegarden) new friendship with Tyra (Adrianne Palicki). The game everyone is preparing for this time doesn't include the Dillon Panthers as the girls take the reigns in a game of Powderpuff football. With Julie as QB and Tyra as linebacker, all bets are off.

Show Synopsis: One of the highest praised and most critically-acclaimed series on television, this compelling drama from executive producers Brian Grazer and Peter Berg takes place in Dillon, Texas, a community obsessed with the status of its high school football team. The head coach, Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler), constantly feels the pressure of the town's expectations as he leads this troubled and conflicted team throughout the season. While offering unique insight into an outsized, bigger-than-life Texas culture, Friday Night Lights really tells a story universal for all audiences--that there is more to life than victory, and that there is more to being a man than being a winner.

That conversation at the end of this clip is one of my favourites. The essence of this game was key to him. Educating his team but also educating himself

Friday Night Lights season 8 would’ve been about Miles Shepard as Dillon Panthers running back

I've seen Coach Taylor tells Smash Go all the way, and I really love that scene. But I need to see Brian Smash Williams First & Last Scenes. I'm so proud of Brian Smash Williams got accepted to Texas A&M and make it to NFL. And I'm just so worried about Brian Smash Williams taking his Steriods, that's not good. When I'm playing Major League Football and become a Running Back. I'll create a Player on Madden and name him Derek Peterson on Buffalo Bills.

An flashback episode about Coach Taylor high school playing days would’ve been cool

The Coach Taylor football coach character was the perfect illustration of how you can be a demanding tough coach, but at the same time be a players coach and let your players know you care about them. You’re not there to be their friend, or yuck it up. You are there to be their coach, a mentor and in some cases a 2nd father.

This scene always bugged me. Smash didn't talk back at all. I understand he was already on the hook for the steroids but coach totally overreacted.
