How to Tie 'Shot on the Hook' Rig - Danny Fairbrass | Underwater Norton Disney

preview_player
Показать описание
The evolution of Danny Fairbrass's Underwater rig resulted in something which was so effective at hooking carp, that it turned not only his views on rig mechanics around... but also the Underwater shoot as a whole. 🤿
.
✅ Straight Pointed Hook
✅ Split Shot Added To The Hook
✅ D Rig Kickers
✅ Bottom Baits and Pink Toppers
✅ Short Stiff Boom
✅ Anti Tangle Sleeves
.
When all the above elements are combined, DF believe they have almost the same impact as the hair rig had when it came out! They are that EFFECTIVE!

I’m a big fan of Danny - he is 100 times the angler I’ll ever be, but also knows (and admits to) his limitations when fishing alongside the guys with a real gift for watercraft, BUT, his brain is always working to improve, optimise and challenge. Thinking Tackle isn’t just a gimmick as far as I’m concerned.

Done me a bite at the weekend I love how quickly effective it is just like Danny says no beep just a screeming run !!

I've got respect for korda bringing new light to an old idear. I used a rig where u had a shot behind the eye if the hook and on the point to balance a pop up so then hook was vertical with the point on the bottom. And I remember doing good on it don't think I lost a fish.

I’d love to see what mumbo-jumbo is being put out in 10 years time. Everyones driving them selves insane. Hair rig on, appropriate weight on, find a good spot, stick it out

Pb products and MOD two name a couple already have tungsten shots which simply slide on to the hook, rather than tying split shot on

Dont no how any one can slate the korda team and especially danny fairbrass, what that man has done for carp fishing is unbelievable, if it was to make money he wouldnt be showing u this simple alternative which costs literally nothing, all hes trying to do is help us all and u have these idiotic people giving negative comments, u all want to have a good look at urselfs and get a grip, all korda gear is top class and its all i use because they put 100 % into everything, well done team korda i love u ❤

I personally think it works and it’s not over complicated like everyone thinks, and it makes sense, the proof is in the pudding, I will definitely be trying it myself on stoneacres just like Tom did when I get back down there, obviously
In the right situation, it’s all about %’s and I think this gives you some more %’s 👌👍

I like Korda, the gear is good and their content has always been very watchable, but I'm struggling on this one.

A shot on the hook isn't new, but what gets me is how much effect a small shot really has when a fish sucks in. We've seen it in the underwater series, twigs, gravel, leaves whatever all goes in, it's why carp suck and blow to feed.

Is a tiny shot really going to make any difference as that water vortexes into the mouth?

If you want to try it it was always done with a bit of floss a few turns round the hook, twist and add a shot.

If it really does work, let have hooks with a weighted section on the bend above the barb.

Hello, thank you for the interesting video.🙂👍 You are a fisherman before a business man! 🤗😊 Otherwise you would have waited with the underwater video release til the shot on the hook connector is also available.😉🤗 Best regards and always tight lines! 🙂👍

How all the old rigs come back into fashion, I used this a good 12 to 15 years ago... And for me( not saying it's the gospel, but it worked for me) was to fish it on a stiff section 2" maybe 3" long, longshank hook and a popup or floating artificial... The super short rig and aggressive hooking plays so well into carp curiosity, they mouth it and it's over...

Already bought them from polepositions but create safety inline lead with qc swivvel saves crimping

As far as the original shot the hook rig you can get, as you need the shot to move up the hook when you get a take .

Could you use Dental Floss threaded on the bottom of the Hook then attach the Split Shot and blob with a lighter 😉👍
