Jon, I'm so proud of you and your partner. You've done so much to make being open and "out loud" acceptable and "normal" - because it is! Congrats on your future graduation and all my best for a brilliant career. DA

I always wondered what the difference between the two was. Very interesting.

How awesome is my guy? So compassionate, so brilliant and of course being a sexy beast doesn't hurt either.

As a NP my niche ended up being Psychiatry which I felt very comfortable with early on in my nursing training. 30 years later I am now retired. I would say for most Nurses they find that “niche” early on. It seems to come down to what you feel most comfortable, most challenged, and who you help the most in your practice years. Of course it can change, but most people stick with what they enjoy most. Good luck Jon, you will need it (kidding), and here’s to the rest of your working life. Oh and now I’m retired, i really don’t miss it at all. LOL.

I'm glad you're a PA.I think you will be thoughtful .caring, helpful, and compasionate. I have seen some PA's and Nurse Practioners and have received excellent care.25 yrs ago when I was 35, I looked into PA programs and there was one at a University 2 hrs away. Because of certain reasons I didn't pursue it .I wish you all the best with your new job.

Almost across the finish line! I have some great PA's that are very caring and knowledgeable, that have been taking care of me. This is a great explanation of what being a PA entails :)

So proud of you Jon! You are going to be a great PA. You have the right attitude and loving nature for the job, not to mention you can help with certain individuals that may not be out of the closet yet. They will see you as an example and can help them with the coming out process. And so glad that you and Brian can be together finally. Good Luck to you but you don't really need that....you already have the power

Hi Jon. Some people are lucky in that they know want they want to do in life from an early age. It took until my mid 20's before I worked out what I wanted to do. 52 now and been in the second hand antique business since and loving it.😀👍

Love this breakdown. Will be watching more of your videos. I am considering PA school after practicing as a dietitian for a little bit.

Congratulations Jon. I Just happened upon your channel and am enjoying it. I'm a PA also, here in California, and you've made a great choice. I've been doing this now almost 20 years and nearing retirement. I've been practicing in internal medicine, HIV care/Prep etc. And I highly recommend it. There's a big demand in the field and you'll have much more control of your career in the future. Best of luck...Marc
