Considering how fast her auto attacks pop off, she could gotten away would a skill where auto attack canceling and canceling a art into a art fills her vision art gauge faster.

Nikol is the semi-offtank and unkillable last line of defense with a memory locket, A is the buffer and off-healer, Glimmer is the primary Healer and an off-buffer, Matthew is the off-DPS, adds culler, and overall a bit of a handy jack of all trades (can break, can launch, can AOE spread Power Charge, et cetera, ) Shulk is the primary tank (he FAILS in this regard, but if you play your cards right he is just barely good enough in many situations, ) and Rex is the heavy-hitting damage spam glass cannon meant to cut through enemies, take aggro, die, get back up, cut through enemies, take aggro, die, repeat until the enemy is dead, and he's so good at what he does that it WORKS and actually compensates for Shulk's difficulty maintaining aggro and not-quite-sufficient defenses, too. You should play as follows:

Aggro Generation Priority:
-Shulk
-Nikol
-Matthew

Aggro Reduction Priority:
-Glimmer
-A
-Rex

This way you can try and keep your healers safe while maintaining consistent offense.

If Nikol is doing his job well enough, anyone the party is not focusing on will be drawn to attack him, and he'll shrug them off with ease. Give him a memory locket and he can absolutely bring your team back from the brink if things go south, surviving and maintaining aggro more than long enough to revive everyone else if you're quick about it.

Matthew is the backup Nikol in this regard 'cuz if he's being healed at all he can at least take enough out before he goes down that the next person has an easier time before Nikol or Shulk regains aggro.

Shulk is the one you want keeping the attention of whoever you're currently trying to focus on attacking - he does his job great with the attention of a small handful of enemies that he's actively attacking - his damage increases his aggro which increases his damage, a wonderful feedback loop.

Rex is a wild card in this regard. He will absolutely take away some of Shulk's aggro with his obscene damage and then die himself. Lean into this.

Rex is Shulk's brief break from being attacked - a suicide off-tank as well as your biggest DPS. Don't just focus on maxing out his damage, but on giving him enough survivability and delay between bursts of aggro generation to be able to properly do his thing before dying. Slightly longer and more intermittent breaks in Shulk taking the heat is better for making sure Shulk and the Healers can do their thing, and can give Rex more time to get his talent art off and whatnot. He's still not meant to be a tank first and foremost, however, so do plan for him to deal his damage in relatively short spikes between deaths.

A can really help with both Shulk and Rex's damage and tanking with her evasion buffs and Vision, and in general is a great secondary healer and off-DPS to compliment Glimmer ane the rest of the party. She excels in no one thing apart from evasion, but do not underestimate your ability to play off of her with your other party members to great effect, both within battle and outside it.

Glimmer is your primary Healer, and also a good off-DPS. This DLC is great at spreading aspects of all the roles amongst everyone to create a truly intricate experience. Glimmer you want to be spamming the buffs and heals as fast as possible. Keep her aggro as low as possible and do everything you can to make her as good a Healer as possible - she is the foundation of the team's longevity outside of the worst-case scenario, and your panic button if you need to get people's health up quickly. Focus on cancelling and art spamming with her - especially fusion art spamming - and you'll quickly fall into a rhythm where your team pretty much cannot die. If you train her right, though, she'll also hold the team up pretty damn well even when left to the AI.

Our boy shulk loses the most interesting mechaninc from xeno 1 and this A person gets a cheap knockoff that lasts 20 sec and only lasts one fight.

I played as A through the entirety of Future Redeemed and I just have to say

Her heals restore too little to justify the cooldowns on her Arts, and one of her Skills literally restores her own HP on auto-attacking, but no one else's

I even tried building her up to have higher Healing Power than Glimmer, and Glimmer *still* healed more than what A can heal with her Arts

I think the whole point is just more of a DPS/Support method, use Visions, increase Evasion, debuff enemy Attack, and overall just keep everyone else hanging on by a thread just long enough for Glimmer to actually pick them all back up
