Yes! This works. I used this method with my last home birth, and plan on it with my next in June! ❤

YOU are the reason I had the powerful unmedicated natural birth I wanted. Thank you so much for all you do🤍 your build to birth meditations are the best thing I did in labor. Period.

I learned this 28 years ago in the Bradley Method Childbirth class. I would add that with that inhaled birth, you expand your stomach. It really helps ease the contractions.. My first birth was sadly in the hospital, but I endured SEVENTEEN HOURS of Pitocin with this breathing. My next five births were at home.

When any expecting mom asks for advice for labour, my number one answer is always "learn breathing techniques".
My first labour was 25 hours, zero meds, and terrible back labour. But breathing and relaxing through every contraction got me through it. 2nd baby was a 3 hour labour, zero meds, born in water, and no back labour thankfully. i was preparing for at least 12 hours of breathing techniques, but was shocked when the pain overcame me and i had to push. She was out in 2 pushes. The only time i felt i wouldnt be able to continue because of pain was the moments before i pushed her out. Seriously y'all, do as much research into labour and birthing as you possibly can, it is so worth the experience to be able to birth naturally if possible. Best for baby too ❤ the more you know, the less scary it is!

I tensed up and cried through contractions with baby number 1 and didn't breathe at all and ended up getting epideral at 8.5 cm. I am so excited for a natural, Birth Center experience for baby number two, and be in control of my breathing

I’m a kung fu student so we do a lot of breath exercises during warm ups but lately I’ve doing them with the specific mindset of “this will help come labor.” It’s great cuz we’re breathing through an uncomfortable position (riding horse stance) and the further you push the stance to what it’s supposed to be the more painful it is but the stronger it makes you and the better it is for me to use as a tool along along with my breathing. Plus it’s a great time to let my mind enter a zen environment. Here’s to hoping it works! Lol

This is how i got through my last labor which was super intense lasting a little over 2 hours with back to back contractions. It was the first time out of 4 births that I i didn't throw up in transition

Been practicing this during Braxton hicks contractions and it doesn’t help me :( but I’m laying down while doing it. Do I need to be sitting up?

Ha ha ha in the throes of induced labor I couldn't even think of breathing. My brain was on the verge of exploding from the pain. Maybe other women it could help but would be pretty ineffective for managing intense pain.
