I have over $20K in my checking and savings accounts and was denied because of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy I filed 14 years ago, discharged 4 years ago. They mentioned that information is publicly available through a federal court record keeping system called Pacer, which keeps records forever. Definitely not fair to consider this in their application.

They don’t do credit checks but they go based off of banking history meaning I’m they are verifying you have income and they are verifying the amount going in you bank vs what you take out so keep that in mind guys it doesn’t matter if you have $1000 in the account.
