Compared with 99% of the ‘hacks’ around, this is a) functional b) easy to do and c) doesn’t risk killing or seriously injuring you. I like it. Of course it seems obvious but a lot of people won’t see the potential without a little nudge and that’s the job you are doing really well.

Why is this a "hack"? You hung hooks on the bottom of a shelf. People have been doing this for hundreds of years. They just didn't do it to cheap MDF from Ikea.

Not a hack. Really. You have car keys? Probably save up those shelf-dollars and get a car to go with it.
