Amazon's intense work culture praised, rebuked

A New York Times article on the culture at Amazon shows how intense in can be to work at the company. CBS News correspondent Anna Werner reports.

I think they redirected. It’s not normal to have people crying at their desks and being asked to come in after a miscarriage but instead of speaking to those stories they broadly said we couldn’t be a toxic workplace because we make money and are successful.

Amazon and Tesla both have atmospheres like this. I worked for another millionaire and have a friend in the stock market and they also did those intense and fast 8 AM to 9 PM days (6 days a week). Basically, all high achieving companies behave like this.
Where do you find the slowest and most inefficient workers ? Government offices. Where they all work 9-4 and do there job at a snail pace and complain the whole way.

I work at Amazon, and that too in India, where my country laws don't protect us much. But I really enjoy working at Amazon - is challenging but in a very fun way. And there is a paid paternity leave in Amazon, I don't know how old the vedio actually is.

if you want to have a life on this earth do not work from Amazon. The biggest advantage is what they pay and they pay well, they give a hiring bonus, but you can keep it only if you worked there for 2 years but if left for some reason, you it payback and good luck dealing with a TAX. the quit rate is enormous
