Jumped back to Romans 3:28 and Luther’s translation of that text before finishing off the hour! So, this one will be a bit hard if you only do audio listening. Sorry! But, hopefully at least interesting!

I think the issue is that with true faith, works will follow. Naturally.

Salvation is by faith through God's grace alone without our own dead works and then...Let your light so shine before man that they should see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Good Work Verses

James 2:24 – “Man is saved by works and NOT faith alone.”

The phrase “faith alone” only occurs once in the Bible. Unlike what some churches teach, no where in Scripture does it say that man is justified or saved by “faith alone.” To the contrary, man is not justified by faith alone. A person is justified by faith and works acting together, which comes solely from God’s divine grace. Faith alone never obtains the grace of justification. Also, the word “justified” is the same word Paul uses for justification in Rom. 4:3 in regard to Abraham (so you cannot argue James is not referring to “justification” in James 2:24 unless they argue Paul wasn’t in Rom. 4:3 either).

Mathew 7:21

21 “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord, ” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”

Romans 2:6-7

6 “For he will render every man according to his works.”
7 “Eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works.”

Romans 2:13

13 “For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified”

John 5:28-29

28 “Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice.”
29 “and will come out, those who have done good deeds to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation.”

Mathew 7:21

21 “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord, ” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”

Jesus SAVED Tabitha who was ”full of Good Works and Acts of Charity” through the hands of Peter!

Acts 9:36-41

36 “Now there was at Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which means Dorcas. She was FULL OF GOOD WORKS AND CHARITY!”
37 “In those days she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.”
38 “Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him entreating him, "Please come to us without delay."
39 “So Peter rose and went with them. And when he had come, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping, and showing tunics and other garments which Dorcas made while she was with them.”
40 “But Peter put them all outside and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, rise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.”
41 “And he gave her his hand and lifted her up. Then calling the saints and widows he presented her alive. “

John 5:28-29

28 “Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice.”
29 “and will come out, those who have done good deeds to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation.

😮👉 Matthew 25:32-46. Saved by Works and not Faith 👈😮

32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33 and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
34 Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'
40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
44 Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?'
45 Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.'
46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Let us ask Jesus guys...

"Amen, amen, I say to you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do" -Jesus (John 14:12)

It's not that hard, if you truly have faith in Jesus you will live as such. The idea that Catholics think that they are saved by their works is a lie. Never has this been a Catholic doctrine. Salvation is all grace, but how you live your life testifies to your faith. God is not interested in hallow words.

Luther was neither a student of Greek OR Hebrew. In fact, used the vulgate to write his own bibles.

sola scriptura (Scripture alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), sola fide (faith alone), sola gratia (grace alone), and soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone). Who came up with it ? Sola fide, sola scriptura, solus Christus, sola gratia: through Faith alone, by Scripture alone, in Christ alone, by Grace alone! These four maxims, which had already been developed by 1521, astutely summarise the theology of Martin Luther. Martin came up with it buddy !

So… did he or did he not add "by faith alone" to his translation of Romans 3:28? This bumbling monologue didn't explain anything. James White is usually cut and dry with how he presents his case, but in this instance I'm left more confused than I was before.

By going through various historical accounts, it's quite clear that Luther added to the the sacred scripture. On this manipulation he built his doctrine of Sola fide. However later the learned Protestants didn't manipulate the Bible as the founder did while holding fast to the doctrine of Sola fide which in fact founded on a corrupt biblical verse.

James White, (and Luther before him), has absolutely no clue what Paul meant by "works of the law." Paul meant the ritual parts of Mosaic Law in the Torah were not necessary for salvation, like circumcision and arcane dietary laws. He did NOT mean good works that Jesus taught were necessary, like corporal and spiritual works of mercy. If you suspend reason and common sense, you can pretend that Christians didn't understand the "gospel" until Luther came along after 1500 years. But then you need to have someone question intellectual honesty.

Yes, he added it. Sola Fide, a potentially damnable heresy.

We get the doctrine of “faith alone” from Martin Luther. In his first German Translated Bible, (Lut1545), he actually had the audacity to add the word “alone” to read you are saved by “faith alone” in Romans 3:28.

This is straight from Martin Luther’s 1545 Bible where he added the word “alone”
(LUT1545) Romans 3:28 - So halten wir es nun, daß der Mensch gerecht werde ohne des Gesetzes Werke, (allein ‘Alone’) durch den ( Glauben ‘Faith’. )

Here is the quote from Martin Luther about Luther adding the word “alone”. It’s pretty shocking!

“If your Papist annoys you with the word ‘alone’ – Rom. 3:28, tell him straightway, Dr. Martin Luther will have it so: Papist and asses are one and the same thing. Whoever will not have my translation, let him give it the go-by: the devil’s thanks to him who censures it without my will and knowledge. Luther will have it so, and he is a doctor above all the doctors in Popedom.” (ref. Amic. Discussion, 1, 127, ’The Facts About Luther, ’ O’Hare, TAN Books, 1987, p. 201. Cf. Also J. Dollinger, La Reforme et les resultants qu’elle a produits. (Trans. E. Perrot, Paris, Gaume, 1848-49), Vol III, pg. 138).

James 2:24 – the phrase “faith alone” only occurs once in the Bible. “Man is justified by works and NOT faith alone.” Unlike what some churches teach, no where in Scripture does it say that man is justified or saved by “faith alone.” To the contrary, man is not justified by faith alone.

James White can’t even read simple Koine. For we consider a man justified by faithfulness apart from legal (traditional) works. Quoting bad translations doesn’t help your case. … or Jew’s own God only? Not even the gentiles’?yes even the Gentiles! If so the one God will justify the circumcision from out of faithfulness and the uncircumcision via the same faithfulness. Then do we abolish Law via the same faithfulness? May it not become done! Instead, we uphold Law.

Mr. White suffers from the same ailment Mr. Luther suffered from: Lack of Love. Luther didn’t simply change to “...by Faith Alone.” ...Luther changed—Publicly—around 300-4, 000 verses: Read>>’Luther’; “On the Jews and Their Lies.” Frankly, Mr. White should be defending whether Martin Luther was ever a ‘Born Again Believer’ after a quick walk thru of that piece of Rhetorical Trash! And you’re putting your Earthly faith on Luther? God forgive them for they know not what they do. Mr. White apparently enjoys arguing...and it appears, desires greatly to fill the vacuum left wide open by ‘Hannegraff’s >>Run to Perdition! Mr. White seems to be a 2-bit character actor hoping for a leading role. Follow Luther?? Luther today would be a Conservative Catholic!! Luther would drop to his knees asking forgiveness at today
