Sonoma downloads, but the installation fails
Reboot in safe mode: Hold down the shift key on an Intel Mac or the power button on an Apple silicon Mac and try again.

Mac is slow after updating

Apps crashing after updating
Check with the developer if the app is compatible with Sonoma.

Bluetooth or Wi-Fi not working
Option-click the Wi-Fi menu and choose Open Wireless Diagnostics.
For Bluetooth, you can unpair the device that’s not working properly and pair it again.

So many issues and it's WORTH staying away from updating to Sonoma.

Since - right after downloading Sonoma 14.5, my MacBook fan has been working almost non-stop, and then I noticed it's getting super hot! The battery is so hot, even while I'm not doing anything—just writing an email

Two out of three new Mac’s have crashed and rebooted several times after updating to Sonoma. Both were M2 processors. The only Mac that didn’t have any problems was a new M3. What a big surprise. 😂

my external hdd cant mount to my mac after updating sonoma

Sonoma completely messed up my iCloud data.
Constantly synching but thats Not the Problem.
It made several copies of different Folders, contents spread seemingly arbitrarily between These copies.
Now i still dont know if a Future Update is going to Reverse/fix this but more importantly i dont know what data is lost.
I have a timemachine Backup, but Paying monthly for Apple plus thinking my stuff would be Save and then for this to Happen sucks big time.

My bluetooth cannot find the devices I forget to pair again!! I tried everything to fix the issue. When an update will be released? 😤

Since I’m grading to Sonoma from Monterey, the two most common things I do are both not working. My Logitech C920e camera will occasionally flicker one frame, and it’s usually the bottom half or bottom fourth of the image. And recording H.264 files in OBS or prism studio results in footage that gets choppy, the frame rate looking like it’s 3 FPS.

I wanted to downgrade back to Monterey, but I need a USB boot drive to do so. Things seemed to work better in safe mode. The flicker started to come back after about an hour, but it was much less. However, I could record H.264 files fine. What a mess!

My Mac 2019 desktop looks like it lost all my photos. Now I am waiting for a very lengthy restoration process where screens says, “restoring”……

All my photo albums on my iPhone, and my iPad have now been scrambled. In the past, Mac desktop was the only way to organize photo albums alphabetically. I sure hope this has not been lost. 😡

A good video! I have the problem that when Creative Suite is on, it uses 100% CPU power. The MacBook also gets extremely hot and we don't need to talk about battery life... any more info on that?

if you found temperature increased, and laggy, check your activity monitor, because there's "fileproviderd" process that eat a lot CPU Usage and also on Disk, its writing a lot data, like 10Gb in around 10 minutes, also in me 150Gb under one day. yes very dangerous for SSD TBW.

how to fix it, turn off al sync of iCloud Drive jn Settings - iCloud, i disable the all sync lever, or turn it off, then the "fileproviderd" is stopping it's activities

It does not show any Wi-Fi networks or hotspot networks right after updating to the latest version of Sonoma

Is there a fix for "Auto-Save?" It seems this option have been removed entirely. And for some reason, I can't edit or crop jpg files. Updating to Sonoma was a mistake.
