Thanks for your helpful video. I just finished setting up my CCIE Lab, I used a HP Z800 workstation (it's a stand up workstation and very quite) and 4x 3750 Switches. I decided on this server because I leave mine running 24/7 and it can take two Xeon CPU's and 192GB of ram, which is nice to know for future upgrades.

Well done. Very easy to understand and follow. Better than the INE guys!

Hey Jorge,

I am tempting to deploy the .ova file but when I get to the end of setup, it returns " A required disk is missing". Have you heard of this error before? I am completely stumped on it.

Well done Jorge. What's your opinion on sub interfaces in a production data center like router on a stick for example? I see a lot of it and its rather annoying.

ESXi Hypervisor is free. Just need to sign up at VMware and you'll get a key. It's limited features but covers everything you are using. Then you won't have to rebuild after 60 days.

Hey Jorge! You and Rob Riker have inspired me much. I'm in the early stages of preparing for CCIE-SP. Thus far I purchased the INE CCIE-SP workbook, and I've also stood up a beefy ESXi server with the INE SP topology: 4 x IOS-XR and 20 x 1000v routers. The part I'm hoping you can clarify for me is the precise context of the Trunk/Promiscuous mode. I've configured it exactly as you have in this video, and currently have all 24 routers under single vSwitch as trunk/promiscuous. I noticed that even without trunk, of course with a management IP on all my routers, they can all talk to eachother. I presume the value of promiscuous and trunk is when you start leveraging the subinterfaces/VLANs. Is there any more guidance on the CCIE-SP topology and subinterfaces, or does INE touch on that in the CCIE-SP ATC videos? I understand you may have a video covering that?

Hello,

Thanks for the video...and tell when you going to upload your next video about how to create sub-interfaces for CSR1vk into the ESXi server. ??

Great video Jorge. For the INE CCIE R&S labs, how does one import the configs into all of the routers. I have used GNS3 before and it was very easy all that one had to do was to click on import configs and all the configs would automatically populate all of the routers.

I can boot up to the router, reload it, over and over again. Once I enter the platform console serial...I can no longer boot the router up. Esxi 5.5..
