My personal theory is that he’s gonna become the Witch king of Angmar.
Through the corruption of the ring He’ll receive from Sauron..

Yup..Halbrand definitely is Sauron. More proof...Adar does not recognize Halbrand but Halbrand does. Adar asked Halbrand again 'Who are you?' after the Galadriel interrogation. Adar did admit he killed Sauron...Basically Sauron is taking revenge against Adar. Halbrand's favorite weapon of choice 'Spear' is what Sauron is holding in the intial episode. Halbrand used Galadriel (meeting not coincidental) to be crowned as the Southland 'Mordor' King. He probably will save Galadriel from Mt.Doom eruption and will use that chance to get close to the Elven and get them to forge the rings. Halbrand aka Sauron- being a great smitty will make the 1 ring to rule them all.

I'll be surprised if it is Sauron. They are playing fast and loose with Tolkien's story but what has happpened to him so far doesn't fit Sauron in the second age very well, at all.

I have to echo what others have said. He’s going to be the WitchKing. Sauron will give him one of the rings of Power and he’ll be completely corrupted.

Isn’t Annatar supposed to be an elf? There’s no way a human would be sent by the Powers and no way that the elves would listen to what a human has to say.

Sauron has to be an elf my dude because you know… living for centuries thing. Plus Sauron is tall AF. Like much taller than men. He might be a ring wraith though. I bet you Sauron is the elf guy wanting to build the huge forge that requires dwarves.
