No matter where we live on this very earth, we all get the same phrase from every elder; We all lived peacefully. And they don't mean the war by that. Because they saw the biggest and most terrible wars. But they did live peacefully beside those terrible wars. As Babushka says; they shared, they really shared, ate the food they sowed, drank the milk and meat of the animals their own, touched the soil and grass, fell in love, and most lived till their 80s or 90s. My neighbor across my home, has seen 2 wars, is 95 years old. Talked with him just today and he is just perfect, energetic just as me and said the same things as Babushka and added; '' Enough. This life, this time given to me is enough. Need no more.'' I carried his friend in my own hands that we lost one month ago because of heart attack, they were friend even before they came together and settled in our street after the war. And the last time I spoke to him before he died, he told me about how they ate tree branches because of the starvation during the war.

Such a beautiful, pleasant and humble woman. I enjoyed listening her go in and out of Ukrainian and Russian whilst speaking. A little bit of Surzhyk. I’ve always found that word to be interesting since it sounds like Serzhik (a form of Sergei).
