Recent deals with Russia saw the release of 215 Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Speaking to Sky's Sally Lockwood, one former marine tells of being treated 'like an animal' - stripped, beaten, duct-taped, shocked and humiliated while being held captive.

The Azov soldiers went through hell and they still have a reason to smile. Incredibly impressive, the Ukrainian spirit never ceases to amaze me.

I've been looking for information about this guy ever since his picture in mariupol went viral, I really thought he was not gonna make it out of Russian prison but I'm glad he made it home, thanks for the report.

I’m glad he made it out alive - but dear God those Russian troops are utterly vile. They have to be amongst the most brutal military on the planet. And they now deserve absolutely everything coming to them.

He already looks much better. A guy like him, who can survive all that he survived, will recover if given time and help.

I am actually delighted by this report! I vividly remember the photo of him from Mariupol and back then I thought he would most probably not make it from the Russian prison. So, seeing him alive and free is much more than what I ever expected. What a legend he is! With love and admiration from the Czech Republic.

Many of the Azov soldiers didn't make it he did but they broke him down in every way possible. I hope he gains weight and his arm is corrected may God bless him and his family.

I am so glad he has survived; one tough man and yet another sign to Putin that Ukrainians are stronger. I hope he finds some happiness back with his loved ones and I wish him a speedy recovery. I am continually heartbroken and infuriated by Putin’s war but simultaneously humbled and in awe of how brave and resilient the people of Ukraine are. 🇺🇦❤️

This man is a hero. He should get everything he needs. He fought bravely for the Ukrainian people and for Ukraine. But this is also a good lesson for the Ukrainian army: fight till the end without giving up or surrendering.

What evil people! It sickens me that there are humans walking the earth that find pleasure in torturing people and causing such pain!
