Are there components added to the graphics card to make it G-sync, or is it all inside the GPU and no external differences?

Manufacturer NVIDIA
Model GeForce GTX 970

i do not find that "Monitor technology" in my settings nor the "setup G-Sync " as you have on your card

Does that mean my card does not support G sync?

A google research says it def. does support that, but why is my setup options absent of that option(S)?


i am told it is in OPEN GL settings where it can force G sync, but i can't figure which that is in there

Any more advice is appreciated

Ensure you also lock your frame rate. For example if your monitor is 144hz then I'd lock it at 143 fps or 142 fps etc. This makes sure that the g sync is actually working and you don't get screen tearing.

Don't forget on some monitors you have to manually switch freesync on

Hey, thank you for the video.. This whole time, I thought GSYNC was a bad thing and had it turned off. I recently updated my GPU thanks to my wonderful wife and her persistence to snag a 3090, so I have been on edge to really move forward and use GSYNC. Thanks again. Your video was awesome!
