Bootes Void. Sounds like my dating schedule.

The largest void in the Known Universe is the KBC Void - which is 6 times the size of Boötes, and actually contains the Milky Way, the Local Group of Galaxies and part of the Laniakea Supercluster. Voids are common and nowhere near as empty as implied here.
Boötes contains 60 galaxies, with many more likely undiscovered.

Large voids are formed by the coalescence of many smaller ones, similar to soap bubbles...and this cosmological behaviour sits well within the parameters established by the Lambda-CDM (Cold Dark Matter) model of the evolution of the Universe.

P.S. The "Largest Thing Ever Discovered Within The Known Universe" is actually the Hercules–Corona Borealis Great Wall, a superstructure of galaxy distribution 10 billion light-years in diameter...30 times larger than the Boötes Void.

You can't scare me. I had to take my daughter to a spice girls concert. I've seen hell (and heard it).

When we finally getting around to sending a warp 9.99 space ship into the Void, would that count as a Booties call?

Hey Shell,
For some reason thinking about the crazy spam filter thing on YT got me thinking you might want to do a 10's list on the top AI systems currently in use.

Also, I was watching an upload about the beginnings of Unix and Linux earlier. I didn't know that Unix came out of Bell Labs. A list of the top things from Bell Labs might be interesting. Perhaps a "top 10 things you didn't know came from BL."
The upload about Unix also mentioned the contributions of UC Berkeley. Another upload that would be really interesting IMO would be to list the top achievements or discoveries to come out of well known universities. You could honestly make that into a series IMO.
You know what works best for you're audience, but those were a few interesting ones that crossed my mind earlier today :-)

The biggest void seems to be in my wallet at the end of the month.

Fact: The Boötes Void is so empty that (to the best of our knowledge) it doesn't even have a Starbucks.

Simon: Very interesting and, yes, terrifying. A quick pronunciation note: "Boötes" has a dieresis over the second "o" to show it it pronounced separately from the first one -- "Bo-otes" Think: coöperate / co-operate instead of "cooperate." If the double-dots are over a solitary vowel, German & Scandinavian rules take over and it's called an "umlaut."

Some of these would make great settings for science fiction stories.

I thought this was almost depressing, in an existential kinda' way.
Then I read some of the comments and decided that, with the humor and creativity evident throughout them, there's hope for humanity no matter WHAT the universe tries to come up with to make us feel tiny and insignificant!
