There were candles down the stairs at the Banff Springs Hotel and caught the brides wedding dress on fire. This was the cause of her fall. The elderly bellhop has actually helped people with their luggage to their rooms, or so it is said. What a disturbing experience that would be. It`s a magnificent old hotel for the living as well as the dead.

I went on a tour at Rolling Hills and it was something I will never forget. As the tour guide was telling a story I felt something behind me and whisper my name in my ear. The other tourists in the group didn't know my name. It was creepy as hell.

Many years ago, I lived in the New Orleans French Quarter. I spent many hours exploring St. Louis No. One. I encountered a lot of ghosts in the Quarter. The most frightening was the ghost of a sadistic rock spider whose soul was damned. He showed up when I was alone in the rear of the cemetery just outside Mrs. Claire's tomb. I also saw the soul of the then caretaker's wife, Buddy. Buddy is interred there himself now. Stop and say a prayer for him. He was a nice person.

The old Missouri State Penitentiary is definitely inhabited by some spirits. The holding cell when you walk in has hooks on the wall, as for hanging up prisoners. Some of the cells where the men were housed had very strange messages and designs painted in them. I got the sense that a lot of people went crazy in there.
