Once those fries get cold it's over.😂

If you want fresh fries from McDonald's, just ask them to make fresh fries for you. You will have to wait 5 minutes but they would prefer this instead of going the no salt route.

If you're a vegetarian eating at McDonald's i don't think you should be allowed to complain about the fries. You know what you're doing there. Natural beef flavor in fries sound amazing. Come at me vegi lovers lol. And sweet and sour sauce on fries for life i could drink a bottle of that stuff

For some reason I'm getting Los Pollos Hermanos vibes from this

I remember when the McDonald's fries were peeled and cut in the store and fried in beef tallow. Not even close to the taste and quality what is produced now. And they were 15 cents, circa 1966.

Asking for no salt fries is a dick move because that means we have to thoroughly clean the fry area so there's no salt on it just so you can have fresh fries that you are going to add salt to anyway. If you want fresh fries, just ask for them. We will gladly put a fresh basket of fries down versus having to clean the whole fry area. Just an fyi.

fries in the 60's were the best before health nuts destroyed the taste of everything

The problem with these fries is that you have T-minus 5 minutes to eat them before they suck. In-N-Out is obviously better in every single function. Most importantly, their fries stay crispy for a very long time because they're not processed. You can go there and watch them cut whole potatoes in your face. I'm lucky to be in San Diego, where In-N-Out is an option, so I understand that not everyone can enjoy the amazingness of In-N-Out.

Fries in the 80's were much better than today!

I can say that this is not the way they were made back in the 60"s. We made them fresh all day long from 100 lb. bags of potatoes. Peel, slice, rinse (3 times in plain water) blanche and fry.

In Taber Alberta Canada, I used to haul them from Alberta down to Martin Brower in Stockton California, 50, 000 lbs at a time

Moving away from beef tallow is when the fries went down in taste and quality

Those potatoes are grown in Canada also. Especially around Carberry Manitoba. And Simplot has a big plant in Portage-La-Prairie Manitoba. It's not just an American product.

Here in Canada they use McCain fries and it’s a special to made order for them. Also I agree with the commenter about the no salt fries. The fry station needs to be cleaned and no traces of salt can be present for the new batch of fries!

When McDonald's first came to Tennessee each store pulled and cut their own fries and were so ooo much better than what you get today. I've had to wait several times for fire cause they had to peeled first the cut to fries. This was in the mid60s.
